Sulaiman: Ayoot, tatuti. Ayoot. Tatuti.
Ayub: Tatuti?
Sulaiman: Yeah. Tatuti. What happawned?
Ayub: (pauses and looks at the mat) Oh. Its upside down.
*Ayub fixes mat
Sulaiman: Thanku Ayoot.
Ayub: You welcome.

It’s Valentine’s Day, Sulaiman and I are home from the hospital where he was born yesterday. Ayub is so excited to meet his new brother. Later in the day, Ayub comes to cuddle me, rubs my belly and says “baby.”
Me: There’s no baby in Mama’s tummy
Ayub: No baby?
Me: The baby is there!
(I point to Sulaiman who’s sleeping close by. Ayub’s eyes light up and he smiles from ear to ear)
Ayub: BABY!
(He runs to Sulaiman and rests his face on the bed next to him)
