Talking to Your Toddler

Talking to Your Toddler

Toddlers are awesome. They tell the best stories. And have the best Speak Funnies.

Toddlers are the life blood of this website! But of course they can be terrible.

Ayub was tantrumtastic until the age of 5.

This digital program offers parents different approaches to dealing with the terrible twos and beyond:

  • Plenty of solutions to given problems
  • Versatility in dealing with individual personalities and temperaments (everybody is unique and special!)
  • Choice of solution depending on your situation, circumstances and child

The audio program was developed by Chris Thompson and will show you communication techniques to speak to your toddler that will diffuse a situation or correct inappropriate behavior (tantrums in the middle of the mall…)

Let’s face it, it’s tough being a toddler. They’re incredibly intelligent but lack the speaking skills to voice their opinion. I imagine it’s more frustrating for them than the parents who are trying to figure out what they’re screaming about!

Chris is a communication specialist who, in his observations of children in this age group, has learned they are basically lacking the skills and know-how to communicate what they want or how they feel. This results in the frustration which leads ultimately to the dreaded temper tantrum.

In the audio series, Chris helps parents connect with their child on an emotional level.

The Talking to Toddlers program consists of a downloadable MP3, along with a course summary in PDF format. Each lesson is approximately twenty minutes long and covers the following:

  • Lesson 1: Key Concepts
  • Lesson 2: Double Binds and Presuppositions
